For transporting UN 0021 — 15 kg and UN 0500 — 32 tonnes in ADR-approved packages, the vehicle must carry the normal ADR on-board equipment for dangerous goods transport. Because these are Class 1 explosive goods, the extra equipment required for labels 3, 4.1, 4.3, 8 or 9 does not apply, and eye-rinsing liquid is not required for danger labels 1, 1.4, 1.5 or 1.6 (ADR 8.1.5.2 note 2 and 8.1.5.3 note 4, Volume 2, page 642) .

Required on-board equipment:

Fire extinguishers
Since the transport unit will necessarily be above 7.5 tonnes, it must carry at least 2 portable fire extinguishers, with a minimum total capacity of 12 kg dry powder equivalent; at least one extinguisher must be minimum 2 kg for engine/cab fire, and at least one additional extinguisher must be minimum 6 kg (ADR 8.1.4.1, Volume 2, page 641) .
General vehicle equipment

One wheel chock per vehicle, suitable for the vehicle’s maximum permitted gross mass and wheel diameter;
Two self-standing warning signs;
No eye-rinsing liquid required for Class 1 labels (ADR 8.1.5.2, Volume 2, page 642) .

Equipment for each crew member

One high-visibility vest;
One portable lighting apparatus compliant with ADR 8.3.4;
One pair of protective gloves;
Eye protection, such as safety goggles (ADR 8.1.5.2, Volume 2, page 642) .

Not required for these Class 1 goods

Emergency escape mask: required only for danger labels 2.3 or 6.1;
Shovel, drain seal, and collecting container: required only for solid or liquid dangerous goods with labels 3, 4.1, 4.3, 8 or 9 (ADR 8.1.5.3, Volume 2, page 642) .

Also, the written instructions must be kept readily available in the cab, and the transport unit must have placards and orange marking according to Chapter 5.3 (ADR 8.1.2.3 and 8.1.3, Volume 2, page 641) .
