1. What is a cookie?
A cookie or tracker is information stored or read on your device when using a website or application.
Some trackers are strictly necessary for the service to work. Others measure audience or communication effectiveness and can be disabled in the cookie settings.
2. Controller
Palen cookies and trackers are managed by KAIRISIO.
Contact: contact@palen.fr.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies provide the requested service, secure access, remember essential choices or keep your cookie banner answer. They cannot be disabled from the banner.
- palenAuthSession: remembers that a user session exists.
- palenCookieConsent: remembers your cookie choice.
- Anti-abuse or anti-bot security token when the relevant form is used.
- g_csrf_token: protects against fraudulent submissions when signing in with Google.
4. Preference cookies
These trackers improve the experience by keeping preferences you choose in the interface.
- palenAppTheme: selected visual theme.
- palenBotProfile: level of detail to be provided by the ADR Assistant agent.
- language: preferred language, stored in browser local storage.
- palenTrustpilotPrompt: number of completed questions or analyses, next eligible review-request date and whether the Trustpilot link was opened, kept only in browser local storage.
5. Optional audience measurement
Until you refuse it, Palen uses this optional measurement to understand usage and improve difficult flows. Viewed pages, when each view ends, its duration, and service-usage events may be measured. If you are signed in, this data may be linked to your account or to a journey identifier that could make you indirectly identifiable. If you enable this measurement again after refusing it, this link is restored from your current session.
You can refuse this optional measurement or withdraw your consent at any time from the banner or privacy settings. This choice disables optional audience-measurement trackers without affecting your access to Palen.
- Audience measurement tool hosted in Europe.
- A random journey identifier may be kept in the browser when this measurement is allowed.
- Display, dismissal and click events for the Trustpilot review request may be measured to assess this flow, without sending question or analysis content.
- Retention period: 1 year.
6. Statistical measurement after refusal
After you refuse, Palen retains only measurement strictly limited to audience statistics needed to operate and improve the service. Optional trackers remain disabled.
Events contain neither an email address nor an account identifier. They are processed separately from your account, and the resulting statistics are anonymised so that they cannot be linked directly or indirectly to your identity.
This measurement does not allow tracking across different websites. Data is neither sold nor used for advertising, and no provider may reuse it for its own purposes.
7. Managing your choices
The information banner and cookie-management button let you refuse or customize non-essential trackers. Your choice is kept for 180 days.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from this button, available on the home page and in your account privacy settings.
8. Third parties and transfers
KAIRISIO may rely on technical providers to deliver, secure and measure the use of Palen. These providers act only for the purposes described in this policy.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used as an anti-abuse and anti-bot protection solution on some forms. This service is strictly related to service security and may involve technical processing by Cloudflare in the European Union and outside the European Union.
Google Identity Services provides the Google sign-in button on login and registration pages. Its library may store or read technical data strictly necessary for account selection and sign-in protection.
PostHog, a provider hosted in Europe, helps Palen measure how the platform operates and, when you allow it, your journey in the browser.
LinkedIn Insight may be used, only with your agreement, to measure the effectiveness of KAIRISIO communication actions. LinkedIn may process data in the European Union and outside the European Union.
When a transfer outside the European Union is necessary, KAIRISIO relies on GDPR safeguards, including standard contractual clauses, applicable supplementary measures and the contractual commitments of the relevant providers.
